It seems my guess about the Bette Midler news release on sogospelnews.com being a cut-n-paste hack job was correct. (Note, I don't think sogospelnews.com was the author of the news release, that was probably someone at Hendrix. Sogospelnews.com was just where it was posted. Then deleted. Ah, accountability at it's finest.)

That awkward transition into the "This OLE House" bit that stuck out so bad indeed appears to have been lifted from a Clear Channel bio on Midler. You can read it here.
